Debra Foster

Debra Foster started painting 15 years ago after attending a Paint-Along art class at Comer Museum in Sylacauga, Alabama. Having been asked to drop out of her high school art class because she had "no artistic ability," Debra believed that if she couldn't draw, then she couldn't paint. This simple painting class was like jumping off a cliff and learning you could FLY!

She has worked in acrylics, watercolor, oils, and silk painting; trying as many techniques as possible in an attempt to make up for lost time.

The Washington State native has lived in the South since 1976. She now lives in Fayetteville, Alabama with her husband Ed.
