Cathy grew up in a large artistic family in the Roebuck area of Birmingham, Alabama. Her father was her greatest influence in her art journey as painting and creating were an everyday, normal event in her home. She was introduced to oil painting as a young apprentice under her father, who was a portrait painter.
Over the years, she developed an impressionistic, ethereal style that worked well with oil paint on canvas. Her paintings are found in private and business collections throughout the Southeast. Painting clients' commissions is her most recent focus, with the goal of creating meaningful and emotional art.
Cathy is a member and past president of the Mountain Brook Art Association, as well as the Alabama Plein Air Artist Group. Cathy currently lives with her husband David, in Homewood, AL.
