I've made art all of my life. I was a Visual Arts major and Art History minor at Furman University, then received my M.A. in Art Education from the University of Montevallo.
After fostering creativity in others as an art educator for much of my life, I am now on my own artistic journey.
My inspiration comes from my daily life and my work serves as a record of what I find to be beautiful or interesting.
I love color! I paint primarily in oils, acrylics, and pastels, moving between mediums in different seasons. My work leans toward realism but I am drawn to abstraction.
I feel as if studying and making art is an endless pursuit that teaches me to look more deeply.
